The NRW Pony Show Team with its jumping quadrille
Winners of the 2017 KATINA Show Cup at EQUITANA in Essen - eight young riders from all over North Rhine-Westphalia train regularly at weekends and perform at all sorts of different events. The show team features many different breeds of horse, including Haflingers, New Forest ponies, Welsh ponies and German riding ponies. They will be appearing at EQUITANA OPEN AIR with a brand new act in fresh outfits and to different music.
American Indian Quadrille performed by Evelyn Biesenbach’s riding academy
Evelyn Biesenbach’s young ‘American Indian riders’ and their ponies already went down a storm at EQUITANA OPEN AIR in 2016 and have done so at many other events since. Evelyn’s youngsters will be presenting a jumping quadrille straight out of the Wild West, but with that special Immenhof twist. And who knows, maybe this time a few cowboys will also be allowed to join in the fun…
Haflinger Amani – advanced freestyle dressage
With over 50,000 fans on facebook and more than 6000 YouTube subscribers, Haflinger stallion Amani and his owner-rider Franzi Keth have been a team right from Amani’s birth, not just enjoying success in the dressage arena but also competing in eventing. We look forward to seeing Amani and Franzi strutting their stuff in an advanced class freestyle dressage performance.
VFZB e. V. (Association of Friends and Breeders of the Barb Horse)
The relationship between humans and the Barb horse goes back almost 4000 years, making it one of the oldest horse breeds still in existence. Barbs were used as both workhorses and warhorses by the nomadic Berber people, whose lives were inextricably entwined with those of their horses. The VFZB (Association of Friends and Breeders of the Barb Horse) will be presenting this exceptional breed in an affectionate number that demonstrates the Barb’s wonderful qualities as both a leisure and family horse.
Talina Lorei and Akuna Matata
Winners of the KATINA Show Cup 2016 at EQUITANA Open Air, Talina Lorei and her Hanoverian gelding Akuna Matata, will once again be demonstrating the special bond they share in different circus tricks and liberty dressage.
John & Diana Royer: Western quadrille
Howdy, folks – with their team of twelve Western riders riding into the sundown, John & Diana Royer of the Five Star Ranch will once again be bringing a dash of the Wild West to Neuss Racecourse. Whether at a nonchalant jog or at full speed – here, nobody steps out of line!
Mitja Hinzpeter & his Golden Pintos
Things are never quiet for long whenever Mitja Hinzpeter pops up with his Golden Pinto stallion Macchiato. Mitja is a very popular and regular visitor to EQUITANA and will be appearing this time with no less than four of his wonderful Golden Pintos as he invites us to join him in celebrating the magic of fire with his flaming garrocha.
Noble baroque horses presented by Günther Fröhlich
Günther Fröhlich has been a stalwart of the equestrian show scene for many years now. Known internationally as the “Fresian Pope” Günther has helped the “black pearls” become famous as show and driving horses worldwide.
